Hadden company was established to allow further development of David system. This is a network management system.

The main author and creator of David system is Krzysztof Wladyszewski (chris@hadden.pl). An idea of creation of David system appeared early summer of 1999 as a response into needs of the Computer Center of the Technical University of Lodz, in many aspects of management of LODMAN and PIONIER networks. Because existing management systems didn't meet all expectations, so it was decided to build a completely new network monitoring system.

Several weaknesses of existing management systems were pointed out:

• insufficient functionality, which was assumed as indispensable;
• high price of software, that could provide similar functionality as was expected;
• it was necessary to use software, delivered by many different suppliers, to manage a typical, heterogeneous computer network;
• lack of management software for some kind of devices that were available on market.

The system has worked without a long break in the Computer Center of the Technical University of Lodz since spring of 2000 and has helped to manage LODMAN and PIONIER networks.

For better coordinate of David system works Hadden company is set up late 2003 year. The company takes responsibility for a development of the program. So, all rights to David system have been handed over to Hadden company.
